PILOT PROGRAMME

It’s time for lift-off. Start your career with our FAA-certified training simulator from IGCSE through A levels. If you have a passion and motivation to fly an airplane, first of all, you need to decide if you would like to become a pilot for your own pleasure or build a career in aviation.

Obligatory academic subjects:

  • English First or English as a Second Language;

  • Mathematics;

  • Coordinated Sciences;

  • History;

  • Portuguese first or another native language.

Professional subject:

  • Design and Technology 

Obligatory activities focused on the chosen area:

  • Cessna flight simulator with everything you need to fly an authentic Cessna C172 and C182 pilot;

  • Glider experience during the course.

MEDIA STUDIES

Media studies can be useful in a range of careers including marketing, sales and advertising, broadcast media and performing arts, journalism and publishing, and leisure sport and tourism.

Provides you with basic competencies in the methods of food handling, cooking, culinary and management. It includes exposure to various styles and proper use of culinary applications and equipment. A passion for food can lead to a wide range of career opportunities, working in hotels, restaurants, or tourist venues.

Professional Subject

  • Child Devopment

Taking an interdisciplinary approach, the Cambridge IGCSE Child Development syllabus covers all stages of child development from conception to 5 years. Learners find out about currently accepted developmental norms, and about the complex range of factors that can affect child development, including genetics, and the prenatal and early environment. Learners undertake the structured observation of young children, learning to apply scientific methods in the collection, analysis and interpretation of the data they generate. 

Learners are also encouraged to develop an empathy with young children, and to apply their knowledge to their relationships with babies, children and parents.

TOURISM & TRAVEL

This syllabus encourages learners to appreciate the scale and importance of the travel and tourism industry in the world and recognize the positive and negative impacts the industry may have on people, environments and economies. Learners discover that the travel and tourism industry is dynamic in nature and how the industry responds to change: for example, external factors such as changing consumer needs and expectations, developments in ICT. The syllabus encourages learners to develop practical and technical skills relevant to the industry, enabling them to deal with a range of complex situations and problems.

Business & Tourism

Includes:

A Computer; Odoo platform; A certificate in leadership. Students are able to get help in developing these skills through situational practice. They also learn how to tell the difference between effective and ineffective leadership techniques.

INTERPRETERS & TRANSLATORS

Translation and Interpreting are open to native and non-native speakers of English, who combine English with any of the following languages: Chinese, English, Portuguese, French, Spanish, German. The course will provide you with extensive professional training aimed at the translation and interpreting markets, building on your existing language skills to develop a career in those sectors. The course involves translation as well as conference and public service interpreting between one main language Chinese, English, Portuguese, French, Spanish, and German. You will learn how to research specialized subjects for professional translation and interpreting purposes and hone your translation and interpreting skills by extensive practice, applying insights drawn from linguistics and translation and interpreting theory as well as from professional practice.

Our course has been designed to ensure that individuals complete training or qualification before they can sit a certification test.

Language Competency is key to being able to successfully work as a translator or interpreter. Prime School uses English Language proficiency as a screening mechanism to ensure you already have the necessary language competency to cope in real-life practice.

This syllabus encourages learners to be innovative and creative and to develop their ability to design high-quality products. Through their studies, they will develop an awareness of the significance of design and technology on society, while also learning more about production processes and industrial practices.

MUSIC

Cambridge International Music Program encourages learners to develop their musical skills in a variety of music styles and traditions and build on their musical interests. Learners are encouraged to listen, compose and perform with understanding, analysis and confident communication. They learn to become independent and critical thinkers. The focus of this component is on candidates learning to develop the practical skills of performing and composing. Candidates should be encouraged to develop creative, technical and interpretative skills, and be able to present contrasting pieces in both performing and composing. As developing musicians, it is also important that candidates are supported in learning to develop consistent practice habits and skills and techniques in composing and performing. They should also be encouraged to reflect on their work in music, including the artistic process. This includes, for example, the role of style, craftsmanship, expressive communication, authenticity, and integrity.

MARINE SCIENCE

The syllabus is designed to teach learners about sustainable development in a world where the security of resources and life-sustaining systems is endangered by human impact. It draws upon disciplines such as biology, Earth science, geography and economics.

Learners gain an understanding of the Earth’s natural systems and how people use natural resources; they then investigate the impact of human development on the environment and learn how the environment can be managed sustainably in the future, from a local as well as a global perspective.

 Scuba Diving Course

This course is a quick and simple learn to dive program. People who have never tried diving before can, in a matter of an hour, be on a pool and enjoying their first scuba experience. Included in this course is a short lecture, water skills practice (pool or beach), and a 1-tank boat dive with your instructor as your buddy.

The Course includes the use of all diving equipment.
