Prime School Sintra offers something particularly important to students with Special Educational Needs and their families: continuity.
Through Prime School and our partnership with Prime Technical Institute, students can follow an educational pathway that begins in Early Years and can continue through Primary, Secondary and Sixth Form into higher education and professional qualifications.
Students who are better suited to an applied or vocational pathway can progress through Pearson BTEC Higher National programmes delivered through Prime Technical Institute: the Higher National Certificate (HNC) at Level 4 and the Higher National Diploma (HND) at Level 5.
The HND can, subject to the requirements of the receiving university and programme, provide progression to a university top-up degree.

For many students with SEN, transitions between schools and educational environments can be particularly challenging.
Our aim is to reduce unnecessary disruption by creating continuity of relationships, expectations and educational philosophy throughout the student's journey.

Large classes, rigid timetables, sensory overload, difficulties with communication or social interaction, and standardised approaches to learning can create unnecessary barriers.
Prime School Sintra offers another way. Our approach combines academic ambition with personalised educational support, emotional wellbeing and the development of practical life skills.
Depending on each pupil's individual profile, support may include learners with:
