Family portal

Portal Help.

The Prime School portal is where your family's school life sits in one place — timetables, absences, announcements, invoices — and where you can ask the school a question in writing and keep the answer.

What you'll find

Everything about your child, in one place.

Signing in with the account the school gave your family opens a home page of tiles. Each one is a part of school life you would otherwise have to telephone about.

Helpdesk

Ask the school anything and keep a written record of the reply. Explained step by step further down this page.

Timetable & events

Your child's weekly timetable, the school calendar and what is coming up this term.

Attendance & exams

Absences, warnings and exam results as the school records them.

Announcements

News and notices from the school, so nothing depends on a letter reaching the bottom of a school bag.

Invoices & fees

What has been invoiced, what has been paid and what is still outstanding.

Documents

Declarations, certificates and the paperwork the school issues for your child.

Getting in

Signing in.

Go to the portal

Open primeschool.pt/my, or use the Portal link on this website.

Use the address the school has for you

Your username is the e-mail address the school holds on file for your family, together with the password you were given.

Forgotten the password?

Use Reset Password on the sign-in page and a link is sent to that same address. If the address itself is out of date, the school office can correct it — nobody else can.

The Helpdesk

Your direct line to the school, in writing.

Use it for the everyday things: an absence to explain, a question about fees, a change to how your child gets home. Anything you would normally telephone about, you can send here instead — and unlike a phone call, you keep the answer.

Send your request

Choose roughly what it is about, give it a short title and explain what you need in your own words. There is no form to get right.

The school picks it up

Your request reaches the right person automatically, from what you said it was about. You do not need to know who that is, and you do not need to chase anyone.

They reply, and it comes back to you

When the school answers, your request shows that it is your turn. Open it and the whole conversation is there — what you asked and what they said.

Answer them back

If they have asked you something, reply in the box at the bottom, just as you would answer a message. You can attach a file here too.

Close it when you are happy

Marking a request closed tells the school there is nothing more you need. It stays in your list, so months later you can still look up exactly what was agreed.

Your requests are yours. A family only ever sees the requests raised for their own child — never another family's.
Writing a good request

What to send, and how.

The more the school knows at the start, the fewer times you will go back and forth.

Pick the closest category

General question, academic, behaviour, finance and fees, transport and logistics, or other. Choosing the nearest one is enough — the school can move it if needed.

Set the priority honestly

Low, normal, high or urgent. Most things are simply normal — leave it there unless it genuinely cannot wait, so that urgent still means urgent.

Attach what helps

A photo of a doctor's note, a letter, a form. Images or PDF files, up to five of them, each no larger than 10 MB.

Please do not send anything urgent or an emergency through the Helpdesk. If your child needs help today, telephone the campus office.
Questions

Common questions.

Who at the school can see what I write?

The staff who handle requests at your child's campus. It is an internal school record, not a public one, and other families can never see it.

How quickly will somebody answer?

The Helpdesk is read on school working days. It is not monitored overnight, at weekends or during holidays, so anything that cannot wait should go to the campus office by telephone.

Can I reopen a request after I have closed it?

Not from the portal — once a request is closed the reply box is gone. If the matter comes back, simply raise a new request; the closed one stays in your list as a record you can point back to.

Can both parents use the portal?

The school issues one portal account per family, so a household shares it. If you need the address on the account changed, ask the school office.

Something on the portal looks wrong. What do I do?

Send a Helpdesk request describing what you expected and what you actually saw. A photo of the screen helps a great deal.

I cannot sign in at all.

Try Reset Password first. If that does not reach you, the address on the account may be out of date — telephone the campus office and they will put it right.

Still need a hand?

If you cannot get into the portal, or something here has not answered your question, the campus office is always there.
